Excellent. I tried to get some footage as the train came through Leumeah, but they were on the goods line and only viewable through the platform fence.

I can remember when 6029 was doing runs between Wollongong and Scarborough on a long weekend. We hit the straight prior to Thirroul, the driver opened her up, and oh boy, the sound and the power. Absolutely loved it. This was when she was still at the Canberra museum.

I would make that happen for a reality but I think the best way to do it is for the airport tunnel to go underground with new underground platforms at central and town hall and then will re-emerge on the north shore line between town hall and wynyard so that revesby trains go to the city circle and Macarthur trains go via the airport to berowra and the T9 trains Mabye to north Sydney or on the city circle once Bankstown converts to metro.

The Airport tunnel CAN NOT reach platform 16 - if anything this the "up local" - it is impossible for you to get on a train at the airport and that very train take you over the coat hanger

All 86 class should still be in service. More reliable than some of the burnt out crocks of diesels some operators are using.
